I am mainly responsible for the planning, development, execution and management of all business solution technologies, decor, event management and consultancy services. I consider myself a subject matter expert in Information Security Management Systems. However, I come from a Telecommunications background and I branched into Information Systems and Information Security as a career in the government which nurtured my skill sets. Business was my part time occupation but I decided last year that in order to become the man I need to be, I need to treat business as my full time occupation. I walked away from the government and committed to my business in pursuit of happiness.

Tell us about your GoFundMe to get to CES 2017?

Attending a grand event such as the Consumer Electronics Show, has always been a financial strain on myself and my company but I always make the investment. I decided to work with one of my business partners who operates Impact Media Group to cover the event as an actual media production. Facing the financial challenge of actually preparing to produce a professional outlook for this event, we decided to use crowd sourcing to assist with this project. Representing Trinidad and Tobago at this event has always been my objective however doing so comes at a great financial cost hence GoFundMe.

Why should businesses consider FOSS?

Free and Open Source Software while beneficial has its drawbacks. We must choose carefully considering benefits and drawbacks and how they can be mitigated. From a support point of view, FOSS is dependent on the community and the popularity of the software, something you may not want to depend on especially if there is an immediate support query or Information Security concern, something I take very seriously as it is one of my specializations. However, once these concerns are addressed, FOSS is excellent for reducing recurring costs that normally comes from retail software.

What are you doing to give back while going up?

I believe that you have to be able to help yourself if you want to help others. Hence while I focus on building my empire I don’t help anyone unless I have the capacity to. When I can I invest in my friends and even strangers once they have a solid business plan. It doesn’t matter if its selling nuts or air, as long as it makes business sense I always go out of my way when I can. I give up my time as well to various charitable groups and help in any way I can.
